The Letters of Samuel Beckett 1941-1956
Dear Mr MacDonald
I am surprised to hear that my family is without news of me. I write them regular cards. Perhaps you would be good enough to have the following message sent to my brother (Frank Beckett, 6 Clare Street, Dublin):
Sorry to hear you are without news. Write you regularly. All well here. Love. Sam.
I am trying at present to get the necessary permissions for a return journey to Dublin. If I succeed in obtaining the French and British return visas I shall ask you for yours.
Yours sincerely Samuel Beckett
